Using Sources
Dear writer, I’ve attached many readings which you use when writing this paper. The evidences (Body paragraphs) of argumentative thesis regarding one of the 2 questions above have to come from those sources provided. So you will have to actually fully read and understand what’s going on in those readings so you can create an argument based on that. You don’t have to use all the sources (at least 3-4). You can definitely relate to the sources (Norrell’s and Ayer’s) that you used last time.
This assignment focuses on synthesis. It asks you to bring together a wide range of primary sources and secondary sources. In that way, this essay is different from the analysis paper that you wrote last time which ask you to look in depth at one or two primary sources
Topic : Answer one of these two questions in an essay of 1600-1800 words:
A) In the period from 1870 to 1930, how did various forms of violence affect American culture and, conversely, how did culture shape the ways that violence was understood and remembered?
B) In the period from 1870 to 1930, what significance did racial hierarchies have in American culture?
