Summary:
The debate about the pros and cons surrounding the idea that “all
immigration to the USA must be stopped” offers multiple arguments for both
sides. The stance we will be taking today will defend the con side of stopping
immigration into the US and will also focus on different aspects of the pros
and cons. The positive reasons for having immigration in the US include
cultural exchange, new avenues in education and career, economy growth, and
distribution of population. It should also be recognized that there can be
positive reasons for having illegal immigrants due to Amnesty in the US. This
includes that immigration is a natural right that helps contribute to the
economy, it can result in a stronger nation and it gives people a second chance,
and there are too many illegal immigrants to do anything else. Looking at the
other side, we recognize the different reasoning against immigration, including
a possible population imbalance, the risk of a transfer of diseases, unfair
distribution of National Wealth and financial burden, as well as malpractices
and brain drain. While considering these cons against immigration, we still
hold that stopping immigration to the USA is not the correct solution to the
problems at hand.
