Marketing Journal

Objective
Simply learning concepts from a textbook or a lecture is not nearly enough to gain a solid understanding of real-world marketing.  This assignment is therefore included in the curriculum so that you can become more familiarized with current, relevant marketing events that interest you.

Instructions
• Every week you will search for an article relating to marketing in one of the major Canadian newspapers (Toronto Star, Globe and Mail, or National Post). No other media are allowed (including blog entries, magazines, etc.)
• For each article you choose, you will write:
o A brief summary of the article
o Your opinion on the events in the article, using material of marketing knowledge
o What new lessons/strategies/techniques/etc. you learned from the story
o What you believe might happen next
o A citation for the article
