In "Outlawed: Between Security and Rights in a Bolivian City", author Daniel Goldstein illustrates that some of the ways that residents of barrios of Uspha Uspha—Loma Pampa in particular—pursue the “right to security” violate the rights of others as well as “transnational human rights ideals.” Residents refer to some of the innovative ways that they seek security as “community justice.”
