The unit also gives learners the opportunity to study diagnostic test and common diseases and illnesses which health and social care practitioners may encounter during their experiences, In addition learners are encourage to review evidence of research which relates to changes in complicity and look at resurgence of some infections and diseases.
To Achieve this unit a learner must
1 Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of disease control strategies and interventions.
2 Be able to describe diagnostic test for a range of common diseases conditions and illnesses
3 Differentiate between different types of infections

4 Understand the origins and life-cycles of some common microbial infections
